Chapter 4: Lover Dolls

Soon their lips were met as it felt like an eternity. The next thing they both needed was the lack of oxygen, soon they parted, a little bit disappointed.

Shadow pressed his forehead against Maria’s, he whispered, “I love you, Maria. Happy Valentine’s Day, too.” He grinned warmly at her.

“I love you, too.” Maria whispered back as she kissed him back quickly, then she buried her face in Shadow’s fluffy chest, loving the smoothness and the warmth of his body. How warm, how safe he was.

The two loving hedgehogs hugged each other, sharing their love in the noon. Soon Shadow broke the hug and grabbed the doll of Maria, and pointed at Maria of his. He sheepishly said, “Let’s not tell anyone we made these, say we bought them.”
“Agreed.” Maria giggled with glee as she hugged the two dolls.

They both went to the living room to see if there was an empty space, luckily for them, there was as they placed them on top of the shelf, right above them, clear enough for them to sight-seeing them.

“Sonic will tease you for a lifetime if he finds out you made one of them.” Maria added when she glanced at him.

“Yea…” Shadow admitted, Sonic as his twin-younger-brother, would dare to do it what it takes to make him embarrassed.

Suddenly, Shadow had something in his mind as he picked Maria up in bridal-style, Maria nervously asked, “Shadow! What are you doing?”

“Instead of standing here, why don’t we celebrate ‘our’ Valentine’s Day outside?” Shadow said with a smirk, insulating.

Maria didn’t say anything but smiled back at him, she pressed her nosed against Shadow’s again. With that, Shadow chuckled as he dashed off the house, leaving the two handmade dolls in the house, cuddling in their own loving way, just like what their creators did.
